The course will include both practical and theoretical parts to the course, so when you leave the school you will be confident entering the classroom. Drawing upon the most current developments in EFL learning theory and teaching methodology, this course covers everything from teaching simple vocabulary to younger learners to teaching industry-specific business English to corporate executives. You will be trained in various approaches to teaching vocabulary, grammar, reading, phonetics and pronunciation, conversation, listening comprehension, idioms, and communicative language learning, as well as the effective use and adaptation of instructional materials, developing lesson plans, presentation skills, interactive classroom activities, the use of visual and other learning aids, student-assessment techniques, and various advanced teaching styles. Students will have an opportunity to put into practice the principles they learn through peer teaching and twelve hours of actual classroom teaching practice in affiliated schools. Upon completion of the class, students will possess the knowledge, skills, and confidence to teach EFL effectively in any learning environment.
A TEFL Certificate will be issued to each student upon successful completion of the course and a smooth transition into your first post in China is guaranteed.
